By purchasing a ticket and/or attending the event, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Conditions of Entry

  • All ticket holders may be required to present a valid ticket and photo identification where required by law, government directive, public health order, or venue requirements in place at the time of the event.

  • Entry is subject to compliance with these Terms and Conditions and all reasonable directions issued by Tiny House Expo staff, event contractors, security personnel, and venue management.

  • Tickets are valid only for the event and date specified and may not be resold, transferred, or used for commercial purposes without prior written consent from Tiny House Expo.

Tiny House Expo is not responsible for, and will not reimburse, any additional costs incurred by attendees, including but not limited to travel, accommodation, meals, fuel, or loss of income.

  • If the event is postponed to a new date and a ticket holder is unable to attend the rescheduled date, a refund will be available provided the request is made within the timeframe specified by Tiny House Expo following the announcement of the new date.

Refunds will not be provided in the following circumstances:

  • Change of mind

  • Inability to attend for personal reasons

  • Illness or injury

  • Travel or accommodation issues

  • Weather conditions

  • Scheduling conflicts or changes in personal circumstances

These circumstances do not constitute grounds for a refund under New Zealand consumer law.

Where the event proceeds as scheduled, tickets remain valid even if aspects of the event change, including speakers, content, layout, or program structure.

3. Event Changes (Speakers, Content, Date, or Location)
While speakers, topics, and event details are confirmed at the time of publishing, circumstances beyond the control of Tiny House Expo may require substitutions, alterations, or cancellations.

Tiny House Expo reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change any aspect of the event, including but not limited to speakers, topics, timing, format, date, location, or purpose, where it considers it reasonably necessary to do so. Such changes do not entitle ticket holders to a refund.

Any updates will be communicated via the Tiny House Expo website where reasonably practicable.

4. Behaviour and Safety
Tiny House Expo is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all attendees, exhibitors, speakers, staff, and contractors.

Tiny House Expo reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to determine what constitutes unsafe, disruptive, abusive, harassing, or inappropriate behaviour. The assessment and decisions of Tiny House Expo staff, event contractors, security personnel, and venue management are final and binding.

Behaviour that may result in refusal of entry, removal from the event, or a ban from future events (without refund) includes, but is not limited to:

  • Theft or attempted theft

  • Verbal or physical abuse, harassment, intimidation, or threatening behaviour

  • Disruptive, aggressive, or anti-social conduct

  • Being under the influence of alcohol or drugs to the extent that behaviour becomes unsafe or inappropriate

5. Unauthorised Promotion and Solicitation
Only businesses and individuals who have been pre-approved and registered as exhibitors by Tiny House Expo may promote, market, sell, or distribute information about products or services at the event.

Attendees are strictly prohibited from engaging in unauthorised commercial or promotional activities, including but not limited to:

  • Distributing flyers, brochures, business cards, or promotional materials

  • Soliciting business, leads, or contacts

  • Approaching exhibitors or attendees for commercial purposes

This prohibition applies to all areas of the venue, including exhibition halls, outdoor spaces, entry points, and car parks.
Any person engaging in unauthorised promotional activity may be immediately removed from the event without refund and may be barred from future events.

Attendees are advised not to engage with or transact with unauthorised operators, as these parties are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by Tiny House Expo. Tiny House Expo accepts no responsibility or liability for any loss, damage, or dispute arising from interactions with unauthorised third parties.

6. Animals and Welfare
For the safety and welfare of animals, pets must not be left unattended in vehicles at the event or in surrounding car parks, particularly in warm or hot conditions.

Where animal welfare is considered at risk, Tiny House Expo reserves the right to take reasonable action, including making public announcements, contacting venue management, security, or animal welfare authorities if necessary.

Attendees who leave animals unattended in vehicles, or who behave abusively, aggressively, or inappropriately when approached or notified about animal welfare concerns, as determined by authorised personnel, may be removed from the event without refund and may be banned from future events.

7. Limitation of Liability
Except as expressly stated in these Terms and Conditions, Tiny House Expo accepts no responsibility or liability for any loss, damage, injury, illness, or expense incurred as a result of attending the event.
